A SEASON TO WALK IN, AND EXPECT, THE DOUBLE!
At the beginning of March, I sensed a shift into a new season. I received a double blessing just when I had been going through a time of great discouragement. One was a financial blessing, and another a miraculous testimony from someone that was standing on a word I had released in a previous time. Next, a good friend told me that she had heard the Lord say to expect the double and she testified that she had received it shortly thereafter on a seed she had given, and it continued doubling! In my heart I asked the Lord if that was for me also, and He said, “Yes, you know I am not a respecter of persons and I love to bless My children beyond what they are able to ask or imagine! When you are faithful to what I tell you to do, you shall receive double!” He reminded me of a word on the double He gave me seven years ago in March. Seven represents completion and perfection.
The word was, “I am giving marching orders for March – March forward through double doors into the double portion. I am opening double doors before you. Where you are faithful to walk through the open door and minister as I lead, another will open; the double portion is upon you, for this is the season of the double. There will be a continuum of doors as you are obedient to My leading.”
I have seen this repeatedly! God is faithful to reward faithfulness on our part! Don’t grow weary in well doing, and above all, don’t give up!
Holy Spirit reminded me that, in obedience to His leading, this March we doubled our ministry from one monthly gathering to two! It has been a real pressing through because the onslaught of the enemy has been fierce. Have you been in a hard season with many attacks and spiritual opposition? Perhaps you are going through a dry time, or a wilderness season, even being misunderstood and betrayed. I heard the Lord say, “Where the enemy has brought trouble, I am pouring out My double. You have been faithful and I am releasing a double portion anointing and reward, and the enemy shall double back in retreat!
"Instead of your shame you shall have a double portion, instead of dishonor you shall rejoice in your lot; therefore in your land you shall possess a double portion; yours shall be everlasting joy." (Isa 61:7 RSV)
He also reminded me of what He does when we turn again to Him during a time of great trouble, when we realize that our only hope is in Him.
"Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you." (Zechariah 9:12 NKJV)
Watch for the double doors and discern the source!
Early in March I also received two separate opportunities that seemed like doors God was opening. One was offering services to make one of my books more visible to the public, another offer would make another book available to reader groups. Neither was emphasizing increase in sales, which would have been too obvious a trap to me because the Lord had told me years ago not to use the world’s marketing tools, but to trust Him and His ways. Both offers specifically noted they were not marketing; instead, they appealed to the importance of the messages in my books reaching more people. I spent way too much time in discussion with them and then the Lord reminded me of what He had told me years ago. Keep in mind what He has told you in times past; doors of entrapment often are disguised as potential blessings!
Right after I made the decision not to go through the door of entrapment was when I received the double blessing I shared at the beginning of this word! In addition, a door recently opened for me to teach a class from one of my books! God has His ways and He gets all the glory!
Another recent double was when a woman I am mentoring told me she was going to order a certain number of my books to send to others she knows, and to my surprise when I received the order, she had doubled it!
The Lord says, “Keep your eyes on Me, and faithfully follow Me, not the ways of the world. I am the one who opens doors, and I will open every door that is necessary for the unfolding of your future to be in accordance with My plan. Seek Me; all I have is yours, trust Me to open all your doors. This is an Isaiah 22:22 time for Kingdom advancement.”
"And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David; he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open." (Isa 22:22 RSV)
Double vision versus double minded
Many have been double minded in seasons past because they lacked the vision to see clearly, perhaps even fainted in heart because of heaviness. I heard the Lord say He is lifting the heavy burden to set the oppressed free and clothing with a garment of praise! He is bringing clarity to places of confusion and restoring true vision, even double! For He is increasing your capacity to see in the spiritual and natural, to bring from heaven to the earth what is needed in this hour for His Kingdom to be established and advanced! This is an Isaiah 58:12 season, for the release to multiple generations!
"Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell In." (Isa 58:12 NKJV)
Do you see the two double blessings? 1) You shall build the old waste places, and 2) you shall raise up the foundations of many generations. Second, you will be called 1) the repairer of the breach, and 2) the restorer of streets to dwell in!
I declare this is the time of fulfillment, even as the Lord reminded me of the word of the double He released seven years ago to me! Again, seven is the number of completion! I am seeing it in my family and the testimonies of those in our ministry! Lay hold of this and receive, this is a reward for your faithfulness!
Doubling of blessings for the generations
I heard the Lord say, “The anointing I am releasing will bring forth the double in generational blessings and multiplication. My promises are never for just one generation, they are to be continual, ever expanding. For I am a covenant keeping God, faithful to a thousand generations who love me and obey My commandments.” (Deut. 7:9; 1 Chron. 16:15; Ps. 105:8)
I heard the Lord continue, “Watch the doors, for I am opening doors for the generations to work together to bring a multiplication to My kingdom for generations to come. Even as I said through Joseph, what the enemy meant for harm I intended for good (Gen. 50:20), to save future generations. When one is delivered from bondage, a multitude shall be the fruit thereof. There shall be such a continuance of multiplication that the plowman will overtake the reaper. There will not be room enough, nor time enough, to store up the blessings and you will pour forth so that there will be continual overflow to feed the nations that are coming into My Kingdom. For the harvest shall come forth from what you have plowed and sown, and you will receive the double to feed them and continual plowing, sowing and reaping.”
"Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "when the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it." (Amos 9:13 NKJV)
Let me encourage you; I am seeing the double blessing in my family and others’ as well. Many are turning to the Lord, and it is generational! I have had many doors open to share the love of God and His powerful word, and see the double come forth! God is working in the hidden places of the heart, and the doors open suddenly! He gets all the glory! Watch for the doors that open and rejoice in this season, for the double is upon you!
